About World Politics Review

World Politics Review (WPR) is a daily, online publication and resource for foreign policy professionals and readers with a serious interest in international politics and foreign affairs.

ORIGINAL ARTICLES

WPR’s original articles are written by our network of more than 400 (and growing) freelance contributors around the world. These contributors include subject-matter experts from journalism, research organizations, academia, government and elsewhere.

WPR publishes the following kinds of original content:

Briefings are 750-900 word news/analysis or opinion articles, published daily on matters of current interest.

Columns are 750-1,200 word columns written by our regular columnists.

Features are 2,500-3,500 word in-depth analyses of a particular subject. Every two weeks we select a new theme around which usually three feature articles are focused.

Special Reports We periodically produce special reports on important subjects, as well as Strategic Posture Reviews focused on the foreign policies and strategies of pivotal countries. Special reports include content from our archives as well as new content.

Blogs WPR staff editors and contributors publish on average 2-3 short blog posts on items of current interest each day. Blog posts include both analysis and news items.

Multimedia WPR occasionally publishes original audio and video reports commissioned from contributors to supplement its aggregated multimedia content.

AGGREGATED CONTENT
In addition to our original articles, WPR enhances its utility for readers and researchers by aggregating content from other sources.

Media Roundup Each weekday, our Media Roundup editors select approximately 20 must-read news items and 15-20 must-read opinion items for linking in our daily Media Roundup. The items are selected from English-language media outlets and publications around the world. Sign up here to receive the Media Roundup in your inbox each weekday morning.

Multimedia WPR editors comb the Web and aggregate the most compelling audio and video that has been made available for embed by wire services, broadcast outlets, think tanks, governments and the like.
